The 1 Mile (Springfield, Mo.) MT deadline is May 22! Cost is $50. Deposit is $10. This MT (June 12-16) consists of Ridgecrest VBS, Convoy of Hope, Nursing Homes & Your Own Bed. Registration forms are in the FC foyer and online. 1 Mile is open to both junior high and high school students, as well as parents of rbcstudents.Questions?

I don't understand. If the student volunteers to help at VBS they have to pay $50? How much do adult volunteers pay?

ReplyDeleteThe Ridgecrest Baptist Church VBS fills our evening schedules, but throughout the 1 Mile MT, we participate in service projects and other community activities during the day. The cost reflects the resources we need to complete our daily tasks.
For example, the picture of Kyle and his friend is from a party we hosted at the Quail Creek nursing home during a past 1 Mile MT. Our students had a great time hanging out and playing games with the residents. From the cost of the MT, we purchased food, prizes, decorations and gas for transportation.
